Research
Development and application of solid state NMR techniques in the following areas:
- Structural studies of proteins in the context of structure-function relationship:Structural, mechanistic, inhibition mode and rational drug design of KDO8P synthase and DAHP synthase. Activation mechanism of the MyoD transcription factor.- Structural characterization of multicomponent systems, polymeric and composites, with short-range order: conducting polymers - polyaniline-DBSA; polymer blends - sulfonated polystyrene /polyamides; preparation of homogeneous multicomponent oxides - transformation of organosilicon loaded alumina gel to homogeneous aluminosilicates.- Characterization of processes and transformations in molecular crystals: phase transition and photoinduced proton-transfer (Me3DNBP); thermally activated chemical reactions in molecular crystals.- Development of spectral assignment techniques for High-Resolutions Solid-State NMR - DANTE-based frequency-selective REDOR.
